Tips
Need any help making your favourite Brew? Below are some tips on how to make great tasting coffee at home or while away.
Plunger
Use 1 heaped tablespoon of plunger ground coffee per person.
Put coffee into plunger and add near boiling water to halfway, wait a minute or two and then swirl the coffee in the plunger until a crema forms.
Then fill the plunger to the top, press and serve.
Drip Filter
Put paper filter into portable Drip Filter cone and add 10gms of coarsely ground coffee.
Place over mug and slowly pour water (just below boiling point) onto grinds.
Gently mix with whisk or teaspoon to aid the coffee dripping into the cup.
Add more hot water or milk if required.
Stove Top
Put a fine ground coffee into the filter basket to the top, tamp gently to ensure grounds are evenly spread.
Heat the pot not too rapidly on the stove to percolate at an even pace, reduce heat to low once it is boiling.
Let it simmer until you see the rich crema coming out of the spout (about 60mls).
Top with hot water or milk.
Billy
Throw plunger coffee into the billy, on top of some water.
Boil it up over the fire and pour it through a sieve into your tin mug... aaaah!
